Jaylin Cloutier's Portfolio

My name is Jaylin Cloutier and I am from Lewiston, Maine. I received my BA in Communication and Media Studies with a minor in Graphic Design from Plymouth State University where I graduated in May of 2022.

I always grew up with an active mind with an imagination that wanted to create. I’ve always enjoyed art and the older and more mature I became, I started taking an interest in graphic design. I started learning about the software programs, design elements, and the history of graphic design in high school. Once I reached college, I noticed that one of my biggest struggles was making content that only I liked. I decided then to not major in graphic design, but major in communications instead.

I found that communications really taught people about how to pertain to a certain audience. It was important to learn about how an audience may react to media. Understanding the impact of media is a special tool I have possessed and I look forward to using that knowledge in the workplace.
